Here are the teams and players we think are the most interesting to watch in 2026.
The Spaniards
Streetball is returning to Europe, with three Pro Tour tournaments set to take place in Spain. The current world champions also have three excellent teams: Fuengirola, Barcelona and Valencia - with Iván the Destroyer (copyright to Bas Rozendaal) Aurrecoechea in their roster:
None of these teams is in top 10 now, but we bet at least one of them will be there at the end of the season.
The Yankees
Miami has chosen evolution over revolution. Their latest addition to the roster - Riley Battin - seems to be the last, missing piece. And they definitely know how to play against the team mentioned above:
The Mongolians and one Latvian
Has the team from Ulaanbaatar also found the missing puzzle? We think so! They’ve always had strength, stamina, fighting spirit, and a great coach - Steve Sir. The only things missing were a bit of finesse, a player who could create his own shot out of nothing, and a true clutch player who makes the most important shots. Now they’ve got it all in one person - Nauris Miezis, Olympic Champion. To say that this might work well is a massive understatement.
The Driessens
Another Olympic Champion - Jan Driessen - is one of a few players making progress each year. We expect him to continue and hit a lot of twos in 2026. This is also true for his sister - Noortje. She will not play in World Tour of course, but even without her Amsterdam will be a deadly strong team, again.
ABG Trio - Agyeman, Beikame, Giessmann
Young Germans may reach their peak this year. Their experience from playing together for many seasons should pay off. They’ve seen it all. They’re probably the hungriest team in the entire field. This could be Fabian’s season!

The “Canadians”
Last but not least, a very interesting, extremely international band has formed in Toronto. The team includes a Swiss player, a Belgian, a Dominican, a Mexican, and (fortunately) two Canadians. The two most recognizable players are Thibaut Vervoort and the main character of this beautiful, newly released film - Westher Molteni. You have to check this out!
And yes, we need one too. One more World Tour season :) Let the fun begin again!
